I am a licensed professional counselor, with a Master of Counseling degree from Arizona State University conferred in August 2017, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University conferred in August 2014. I began my therapy work at a suicide prevention center doing individual, group, and family counseling. Later I moved into private practice settings, and I continued my work in family and individual counseling where I began seeing couples as well. I work with clients of all ages and backgrounds, and provide a safe setting for all people.
I tailor my therapy approach to client needs. I hold a space for my clients to explore their ideas, emotions, and experiences in a non-judgmental setting. I also offer support in helping others in the psychological aspects of pain management. I support the positive psychology concept that well-being is not simply found through removing symptoms of distress, but instead it takes strengthening the components of well-being. I work frequently with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person Centered Therapy modalities. I also often apply positive psychology based interventions and mindfulness based interventions, and when this is the most suitable approach, I work within an emotionally focused therapy framework.
