Chokma! (Hello in Chickasaw language). I am Dr. Steven Lee, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 25 years of experience in helping adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, and other issues that create experiences of marginalization and disempowerment. My practice focuses on providing a supportive, compassionate, and culturally focused space for clients to explore their challenges and find meaningful ways to live more fulfilling lives, which often begins with your relationship with yourself.
I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from University of Houston, and am trained in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I focus on developmental and interpersonal experiences and how they shape our story and understanding of ourselves. My approach is collaborative, tailoring interventions to your unique needs and goals to build practical coping strategies and promote lasting personal growth.
My practice focuses on trauma, anxiety, stress, depression, ADHD, depression/bipolar depression, anger, neurodivergence, issues related to personality and identity development, LGBTQ community, veterans, American Indian community, and couples. I have worked in community mental health, for a college counseling center, in nursing and rehabilitation facilities, and for an American Indian treatment facility.
I believe that therapy is an opportunity to explore and uncover how our past experiences and interpersonal relationships have shaped our personal narrative, and I am passionate about helping individuals gain the tools and confidence to overcome obstacles. I invite you to reach out for a free consultation to discuss how we can work together to achieve your wellness goals
