I believe that life’s challenges hold profound opportunities for growth. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel seen, heard, and valued. Together, we will work to cultivate self-awareness, process difficult experiences, and harness your innate strengths to build a values-driven, fulfilling life. My therapeutic style is accepting, curious, and steadfast. Because every individual is unique, I draw from a diverse toolkit, integrating evidence-based practices like CBT, ACT, and EMDR with mindfulness, compassion, and nature-based well-being.
My clinical practice focuses on helping adults and adolescents navigate trauma, depression, anxiety, and daily stress. I also bring specialized expertise and a deep passion to several distinct areas: supporting the adoption constellation (adoptees, adoptive parents, and birth parents), guiding women through menopause and mid-life transitions, holding space for end-of-life concerns, helping professionals manage career evolution, and supporting military veterans and their spouses.
My journey into this work blends deep clinical training with rich life experience. I earned my MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Boston VA and National Center for PTSD. Following this, I spent over two decades in the business world, specializing in brand strategy, executive coaching, consulting, and leadership within a veteran nonprofit. Today, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Metis Center under the supervision of Dr. Brienne Brown—excited and honored to return to my roots and dedicate this next chapter to serving others through psychology.
My belief in renewal and transition is something I live personally. After walking the Camino de Santiago in 2018, I moved to Boulder to embrace the incredible quality of life here. Outside of the clinic, you can find me hiking, traveling, cooking, reading, gardening, and enjoying time with
family and friends. I am also the author of the children’s book, I Am Always Enough, with several more on the horizon.
