Hello, I’m Jane, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona, as well as a Licensed School Counselor and a Registered Nurse in Colorado. My journey in mental health began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I eventually specialized in psychiatric nursing with a focus on child and adolescent psychiatry and serious mental illness. I later earned Master of Arts degrees in Counseling Psychology-Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Prescott College in Arizona. Additionally, I hold post-graduate certificates in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My background also includes a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Holistic Nutrition and Health. I am currently completing a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology (PsyD).
Throughout my career, I have worked in various clinical settings, including inpatient psychiatric facilities, addiction recovery centers, therapeutic boarding schools, outpatient clinics, school districts, wilderness settings, and private practice with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. My primary therapeutic lenses and foci are neuro-psychology, trauma resolution, relationship issues, grief and loss, mood disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety), addiction and compulsion recovery, and neurodivergent conditions (e.g., ADHD, mild to moderate Autism Spectrum Disorder).
I love working as a psychotherapist/counselor with diverse clients. It brings me immense joy to see them gain novel insights into themselves, master new skills, and connect more deeply with themselves and their significant others. When I am not working, you can find me hiking, rafting, skiing, and hunting in the backcountry of the Four Corners area of Colorado, which is my deeply loved home.
