Caitlin Tycz, PsyD

I primarily use cognitive-behavioral and humanistic approaches to meet my patients where they are and support their growth. I value the unique experiences and needs of my patients, and I describe my approach to therapy as collaborative and flexible. I enjoy working with patients age 16+, athletes, and folks in transitional periods of their life. In particular, I enjoy working with patients with concerns related to adjustment, self-criticism and perfectionism, self-compassion, anxiety, depression, experiences of trauma, chronic health conditions, and identity development. I strive to foster an inclusive and compassionate environment to support growth and change.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Metis Center. I received my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH and my BA in Psychology from Yale University in New Haven, CT. I draw from my prior research and experiences as a Division I athlete and Olympic Trials qualifier to support athletes at all stages of competition and development. I completed my Pre-Doctoral Internship at University of Nebraska-Lincoln Counseling and Psychological Services. I have clinical experience in a variety of university, private practice, and outpatient settings.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new restaurants in the area, being active, and spending time with my husband and our dog.
