Our commitment to excellent, ethical care

Everyone who comes to The Metis Center deserves care that is skilled, respectful and honest. Here’s what we hold ourselves to, and what to do if we fall short.

What we hold ourselves to

Excellence in mental health care

Evidence-based therapy, formal psychological assessment and medication management, from clinicians with deep training, including doctoral-level psychologists and specialists in approaches like EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy.

A professional environment built for learning and growth

Our clinicians consult with one another across psychology, counseling, social work and psychiatric nursing, and we train the next generation of psychologists through our postdoctoral fellowship. Your care benefits from a team that keeps learning, not a clinician working alone.

Licensed and accountable

Every clinician at Metis is licensed by the State of Colorado or registered as a license candidate, practicing under the standards set by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).

How we keep that standard

Our clinicians meet regularly in collaborative group supervision and consultation to review their work, think through hard questions together and make sure care stays on track.

We want to hear what’s working as much as what isn’t. What you tell us shapes how we work.

If something isn’t right, tell us

If you have a concern about a clinician or about your treatment, we take it seriously and we will address it. You can raise it with your clinician, our support team or the practice’s clinical leadership at any time.

If your clinician isn’t the right fit, we’ll match you with another clinician on our team. And if we aren’t the right practice for what you need, we’re glad to refer you to someone outside Metis who is.

We want your feedback

Tell us what’s working and what isn’t. When something goes well, your feedback helps our clinicians keep doing the things that matter to you. When something goes wrong, telling us gives us the chance to make it right and do better next time.

Your message goes only to the practice’s clinical leadership. You don’t have to give your name. If you’d like us to follow up, include a way to reach you. Without contact details we can’t reply, but we will still read and act on what you share.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 or call 911. This form is not monitored for emergencies.
