About
I’m Marguerite, and I’m a postdoctoral clinician at Metis Center. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages who are going through periods of stress and transition in their lives. I have experience working with eating disorders, chronic illness, and trauma, as well as anxiety and depression. I offer both play therapy and talk therapy for children, and I also have experience with Prolonged Exposure therapy for acute trauma. As a queer person, I am passionate about providing inclusive, affirming care to members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I enjoy working with patients as they explore the intersections of their various identities and experiences. I use an existentialist approach in my work, meaning that I seek to help patients find a sense of purpose and meaning in their lives. I integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help patients identify their values and regulate their emotions in order to move closer to their treatment goals. However above all, it is most important to me that I build a relationship with my patients. It is only through an authentic, honest relationship that we can create change and find clarity together.
